We are moving all Atari Lynx related content over to Atari Lynx Vault and all our shop content over to K-Retro Gaming. Please update your bookmarks!

As a result of this change, the following will no longer be available: Online Lynx Emulator, Collection Tracker, Game Ratings, News. If you are interested in contributing content to Atari Lynx Vault, we are seeking editors and maintainers.

Why is this happening? First - the Atari Gamer branding is changing to K-Retro Gaming to allow us to expand to providing games, replacement parts, and mod services to other game consoles. And second - The content management system running Atari Gamer is out of date and Google AppEngine (where the website runs) will no longer allow it to run after the 30th January 2024, so in order to preserve all content we switched to a new and modern content management system and chose a website domain that better suits the subject matter. Since we are operating this website in our spare time, on top of full time family and job committments, some features had to be dropped.

We've just launched this new tool that can take your 128 KiB or 256 KiB LYX ROMs and convert them to equivalent 512 KiB ROMs. This is useful if you are trying to burn a ROM image directly to flash as it needs to be laid out in the correct manner. This as well as other resources are an attempt to make it easier for anyone to get started with Atari Lynx hacking!

We've been following Project Argon, a new retro emulator with focus on Atari Lynx and Vectrex, for some time now. There's been a new teaser shown with Argon running in an Arcade1Up cabinet with a custom control deck. That's looking really neat!
The Lynx GD is getting closer and closer to release and now we have a preview of what the final cartridge shell will look like. It's much more slick than the previous Lynx SD!
Back in October Songbird Productions announced the release of two new games for Atari Lynx. These have been delayed to "Spring 2020" now. We're hoping this date moves forward, but we know all too well the complexities involved in producing games.
Evercade is brining an amazing new portable console to the market soon and one of the cartridges that will be available for it is the newly announced Atari Lynx cart. It will feature 17 games from both the Lynx's original game library as well as a number of home-brew projects that were created recently. Here's the full lineup of the games: Scrapyard Dog, Basketbrawl, Super Asteroids / Missile Command, Awesome Golf, Crystal Mines II: Buried Treasure, CyberVirus, Dracula the Undead, Gordo 106, Ishido: The Way of Stones, Jimmy Connors Tennis, Loopz, Malibu Bikini Volleyball, Megapak, Power Factor, Remnant, Super Sqweek, Xump. From the creator of Unseen, a text adventure game for Atari Lynx comes a new game called Unnamed. That is not news in itself because this game was announced some time back, what is new is that development on this game has restarted and soon there will be a playable mini-demo released. Are you ready for it?
We've noted that 4Ttude has a very difficult to play against CPU opponent, well the developer has listened and made the CPU a little easier to go against. Check it out and see how you fare against it...game details, ROM download link and link to play it online are available at the game information page.
