We are moving all Atari Lynx related content over to Atari Lynx Vault and all our shop content over to K-Retro Gaming. Please update your bookmarks!
As a result of this change, the following will no longer be available: Online Lynx Emulator, Collection Tracker, Game Ratings, News. If you are interested in contributing content to Atari Lynx Vault, we are seeking editors and maintainers.
Why is this happening? First - the Atari Gamer branding is changing to K-Retro Gaming to allow us to expand to providing games, replacement parts, and mod services to other game consoles. And second - The content management system running Atari Gamer is out of date and Google AppEngine (where the website runs) will no longer allow it to run after the 30th January 2024, so in order to preserve all content we switched to a new and modern content management system and chose a website domain that better suits the subject matter. Since we are operating this website in our spare time, on top of full time family and job committments, some features had to be dropped.
These are assembly instructions for our Atari Lynx display stand that is available from our online shop. The stand is designed primarily for Lynx model 2 but will also work with a model 1. Unlike many other display stands, our's is designed to be minimal and made to not stand out, while showing off your Lynx at it's best angles.
The display stand comes unassembled. There are 4 parts to it - front support with the LYNX logo, rear support with the Atari Gamer website address, the base and the back section.
First take the base and the rear support and slide the rear support into the base section where there are two slots, use the bottom-most slot. Make sure that the Atari Gamer text is visible on the top side.
Next take the front support and slide it into the base, with the LYNX logo visible from the top.
Then take the back section and slide it into the base so that the triangular part at the base is facing towards the front of the base.
Optional - if you want to prevent the stand from ever coming apart, you can use some wood glue in each of the slide in sections. Make sure to wipe any excess glue off and give it several hours to dry.
Here are a couple of photos of the stand in action...
