We are moving all Atari Lynx related content over to Atari Lynx Vault and all our shop content over to K-Retro Gaming. Please update your bookmarks!
As a result of this change, the following will no longer be available: Online Lynx Emulator, Collection Tracker, Game Ratings, News. If you are interested in contributing content to Atari Lynx Vault, we are seeking editors and maintainers.
Why is this happening? First - the Atari Gamer branding is changing to K-Retro Gaming to allow us to expand to providing games, replacement parts, and mod services to other game consoles. And second - The content management system running Atari Gamer is out of date and Google AppEngine (where the website runs) will no longer allow it to run after the 30th January 2024, so in order to preserve all content we switched to a new and modern content management system and chose a website domain that better suits the subject matter. Since we are operating this website in our spare time, on top of full time family and job committments, some features had to be dropped.
These are assembly instructions for our two-tier cartridge display stand that is available from our online shop. The stand is designed to house all of the official Atari Lynx cartridges but will work with many homebrew carts as well (especially the modern curved lip style ones).
The display stand comes unassembled. There are 6 parts to it - 2 sides, 2 fronts with the Lynx logo and 2 backs with the Atari Gamer website address printed on it.
First take the front and the side pieces. Place one of the side pieces on a hard, flat surface and push in the matching side of the front piece into it. Repeat with the second front piece. Note that it will be a very snug fit, but it will go in, just take it slowly and apply force straight down so not to snap anything. With one side pushed in, place the second side flat and push the other side of the front piece in. It should be easier to get the second side to go in as you can push down on the first side.
Slide the back sections into the grooves, and you're done! There's nothing locking the back section in, but for display purposes there doesn't need to be. You may see your display stand slightly misaligned after first assembling it, just squeeze it into the right shape until it settles.
